Already beaten 2023's season
A whole lot more, a heck of a lot sooner. Very, very great. High five, guys!
This week, it’s gonna be a feel-good email!
The Ghost House’s crew has something to be very proud of. Not every day, nor every season, has a win to celebrate. So when it comes, we should take the time to enjoy it.
Massive increase in cherry tomato production
With this week’s harvest, they have already yielded more cherry tomatoes so far than they did in the whole 2023 season!
You read that right. Imagine by what factor they will crush it going forward. We’re only at the beginning of the harvest season!
Another insane fact: in 2023, they did not harvest a single cherry tomato at this time of the season.
A whole lot more, a heck of a lot sooner. Very, very great. High five, guys!
Sometimes, it’s crazy when you look at the past. I guess they didn't even think those yields were possible. Everyone should take time to look back to realize how many accomplishments they've made.
Back to the plants
Another perfect growth week, creating one new cluster!
The fruit load is coming back from the abortion phase. With clusters of the top 2 feet setting several fruits.
Total fruit per plant is still at 16. So, they harvested the same amount of fruit as the plant produced. This is a good rate. It means the fruit load is stabilizing and fruits are ripening!
The move they’ve made by reducing irrigation seems to work well. Since the soil is fairly dry in the morning, they do not have to switch the program to finish irrigating earlier. It was only a matter of quantity. Not a timing one.
That’s it.
Congratulations again, Allison and Drew, on that impressive cherry tomato production increase!
Below is a glimpse of their beautiful heirloom slicers. It’s only the beginning, but the fruit load points to a promising season ahead.
